I've not had to purchase a queen until this point.  I'm not even sure how to find a supplier...google?  I know race/hybrid ect... are options, but where to start?  Especially this time of year...any suggestions?

Most equipment suppliers sell queens. Try betterbee.

Hi Derrick,

There's a beekeeper who sells honey every week at St. Phillips at the Farmer's Market.  I know two Atlanta Beekeepers who have ordered queens from him just today and he's delivering them on Saturday at the Market.  Call PN and he can get you in touch with them.

There are lots of queen producers in GA. Rossmans, Hardmens, Spell Bee , just to name a few. A copy of Bee culture or my favorite - American bee journal- should have a huge selection of queen breeders with pricing. I got a bunch from Kona Queens and I'm very happy.
