I have had one hive for about 3 years and this year they swarmed for the first time. They settled in a small locust tree about 15 feet up.  I cut the tree at the base and slowly lowered tree, bees, and all down onto a sheet with my hive on it.  They climbed right in.  It has been one week and two days since I captured them and they have already drawn out all the racks in my hive body, and my queen is laying like crazy.  Here are some pics of my inspection.
Notice the curled up larvae in the cells, and also the pollen.

That is some bright pollen!  I enjoy watching a swarm build up, they can really boom!
