I purchased two new queens and put them in the hives I was wondering how long after they are released can I expect before they start laying? Will it take a few days to get things going or were they on the job as soon as they got out of the cage?

That depends entirely on how long they were banked before you got them.  I've seen the start in three or four days and I've seen them take 18 days.

Cool Thanks MB, I thought that might be the case. I'll leave them alone for a couple of weeks be for I check on them then.
