Does anyone have any ideas as to where I might find a motorized crusher strainer...?  I did a google search and came up with nothing.

Friday I extracted 18 supers and had to crush and strainer the cappings from them.  Next time I'd rather let electricity do the crush and strainer part ( takes too much time and too messy ).....  I've never seen one before but I'm sure someone has one somewhere....  Appreciate any help......

Couldn't you get a few cappings bags and run them through your extractor that way?

they make them for fruit presses and in- wine making -there are many sizes of honey presses available with turn screws - in the honey industry we spin them(cappings)-what kind of extractor do you have - i hope you are not crushing your comb for that many boxes -RDY-B

My neighbor and I extract together - he had 12 supers and I had 18 last Friday.   He has a 6 frame motorized extractor that we use.  It's not large enough. I need to buy another, an 18 frame motorized is what I need. 

We crush and strain just the cappings.  It takes alot of time and it's labor intensive.  I just thought there might an electric crusher on the market, I haven't been able to find one though.  It shouldn't be hard to make something like that.  It you hear of anything like that, let me know..  Thanks.

Note: My eighteen 9 frame shallows yielded 43 gals. of Tulip Poplar honey.  I tried a few things different this yr. - paid close attention to the hives and it seems to have made a big difference.

   I seem to remember a couple ideas that were originally for Top Bar Hive harvesting.  One I believe employed a jack and a couple boards.  The other that I liked better was a couple of 1"x10" and a couple 1"x3" for the edges.  A hinge at the upper end and some C-clamps (two half way down and two closer to the bottom).  With a paint strainer on a five gallon bucket this seemed to do a good job.  Just can't go really fast with this method, but it does squeeze pretty good.

Got a Cider Press?  Cappings in a capping bag and pressed gets out the honey and compresses the wax into a brick that is easily melted.
