5 weeks ago I got 2 nucs. One of them swarmed after i had put them in a 10 frame deep 3 weeks later. I caught the swarm and put them in a nuc which is doing well. But the hive that swarmed is now queenless with laying workers. What should I do with this hive?
If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.

Can you afford to take a brood frame from the nuc and allow them to try and make a queen?

If not you could just shake them out into the grass or whatever a good distance from the hive and they'll more than likely combine with the nuc.

I would just buy a new queen for them and hope for the best. But I'm a beginner so take that at what its worth.

If I try to requeen, the laying workers will kill the queen. I have put a screen on top of a queen right hive and put the deep laying workers hive on top of the screen and covered them. In 2 weeks I should be able to requeen or do a combine no problem. Right?
