  Learned one thing the hard way (by accident) DO NOT weed eat under your hives with SSB open 5 sting before my daughter who is 26 could get away :-D, I have weed eat myself and didn't have any trouble but the SSB was not open.

Yeah, I don't even bother anymore.  I go out and tramp the weeds down.  Mowing is one thing (if you just keep driving by) but weed wacking really pee'd them off.  Frustrating.

I don't know, I have bottomless hives and weed eat right up to the stands.  I do get head butted once in awhile.
