After my last swarm adventure, I was becoming firmly convinced that I can make anything difficult.

Today, I got two calls, both from people who watched me remove the hive at the college a couple weeks ago.

One was a swarm on a removable planter box on the side of someone's house.  I put a cardboard top on the planter, taped it in place, and took it home, where I dumped it in a hive.  All done!  (I just have to return the planter.)

The hive is in the muffler and tail pipe of a junk car.  At first I thought it was just a swarm, but I shined a light down the tail pipe and it is all burr combed and propolized and when I thumped the muffler, the buzzing sounded just like a hive.

So, tomorrow I am going to go remove the muffler (the guy says I can have it) take it home and cut it up.  It is old and rusty, so I imagine it will come apart pretty easily.  I can't imagine what it will look like inside.  I'll take pictures.
