There were these three tortoises that were going to go on a picnic. They loaded up their basket with sandwiches and beer and headed towards the picnic area. The place they were going was a few miles away and it took them 10 days to get there.

As they were unpacking the basket one tortoise ask another if he'd brought the bottle opener. The answer was "No".

"Well then you need to go back and get it. It was your responsibility to bring it."

"I'm not going. You guys will eat all the sandwiches before I get back".

They insisted that they would await his return before they started eating. So he left.

After 20 days had passed one tortoise said to the other, "Man I am starving. Let's eat."

"No, we promised we would wait."

So they waited another couple of days and couldn't take it anymore. "OK. Let's go ahead and have some food."

As they were taking their first bite the other tortoise came around a rock and exclaimed, "You see! I told you you wouldn't wait for me. Now I'm not going."

I can relate to this joke!  My kids' names could have been inserted in that joke with the same punchline!  Funny!
