JP, Beautiful! That African Bullfrog is so rotund & cute!  I like the way he made that hidy-hole in the dirt!  Do they make any noises?  I may have asked before (remember, I'm old. ;)) but what do you feed them?  Do you have to keep their tanks a certain temp?  Do you have to give them minerals or extra vitamins cause they aren't in the wild?  Special lights? I'm a nosy one bout anything in nature, heck, just plain nosy! J

Jody, calcium supplements (powder form), the male pyxie vocalizes, they don't need special light, just a heat source (overhead). I feed him/her crickets, mealworms, night crawlers and mice!!!

JP, oh man, so ding dang cool!!!  You are indeed a man after my own heart, I love frogs, bugs, insects, all those manner of things, they are just the best!!!

I could have sworn, looking at the second picture of the White's tree frog, that it was grinning, sitting on the side of the aquarium!!!  No kiddin', I let my imagination run wild some times and it began to give me the willies.  The more that I looked at this green frog, the more then I thought it looked like a side view of the alien, in the movie "Alien", am I wrong?  Hee, hee.

We have so many little tree frogs here too, I never have taken a picture.  The frogs croak here from the end of March to about the beginning of May, of course, that be their mating season.  Well, the other day, I was cutting down the blackened dahlia flower stalks and leaves and lo and behold, out jumped a little tiny green tree frog.  Well, actually it had (couldn't spell camoflauge, so I had to use a different word) colour to brown to match the leaves.  I picked it up and took it down to the deep, dark ravine, where I knew it would be a little safer from the frost.  For some reason, hee, hee, it doesn't get as frosty down there.  It will go under the mud til spring.

Eeeks, very frequently this time of year I hear the tree frogs, they sound like they have become alienized or something.  They croak this horrible sounding croak, like they are making their last croak of their lifetime, I think they must think it is spring, but cannot muster a proper croak, eeks, I am ramblin' and have hijacked your thread, JP, your deepest pardon requested here, you know me, a ramblin' I must go, sorry.  Have the most wonderful day, love our life we live.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
