Many Thanks

2:1 for fall. I do 10lbs sugar to 5 pints water. (per Michael Bush).

Anymore questions?  Please ask.

Ive been 2:1 but I only make 2 quarts at a time so the syrup is warm and fresh when I put it in. Its funny to watch how fast the feeder fills up with bees after I put it in. Like Brian said in another post the bees drink the 2 quarts in one day. It has started to frost and will be freezing soon so Ill just feed when the weather gets warm again.

Michael Bush

Quite a few people use quite different ratios and the bees always seem to to ok with them, but the "typical" recommendation is 2:1.  Mine's probably closer to 5:3 sugar:water.
