Two langs both hived with 4lb packages on April 6th.
When inspected on Saturday one had gone through about 75% of the feed supplied and had started to draw comb on 3 or 4 frames (foundationless) the frame with the most was about 1/3 done and they were drawing it out enough that at the top it was attached to the next frame, (they are drawing it along the guide given)
The second hive has consumed slightly less sugar water and their best frame is only about the size of an average hand, and not nearly as thick as the first hive, they also appear to have less bees but that could be misleading.
My question is, in general how much comb will a new package draw out in a 5 day period ? weather was nice for the week but started to turn wet late friday.

Depends on the race and what other resources are available.  I have always found that starting two hives, one will be ahead of the other.  I wouldn't be too concerned yet.  At some point you could balance the brood by swapping out some frames, if need be.
