Approximately, how many bees are in a pound of bees?
     Thanks,  nella

Hi Nella   I have read that there is about 1 qt. to the lb. I think this is a close measurement.

Well from everything I have read a 3 lb package has around 10,000 bees in it so then that would be 3, 333 bees in a lb. ;)

Sorry i was thinking weight instead of head count.

According to the certification test, there's supposed to be 12,000 in a 3# package.

I have always heard somewhere between 3,000 and 3500 bees in a lb.

Beaver,

You probably forgot to count the one flying around your head while you were busy with the others!  LOL
