Just curious if anybody's bees are working the honey supers yet in NC.  I added a super Saturday and took a quick peek inside, didn't use smoke only opened the hive up for about 30 seconds, just enough too look inside.

Nothing going on yet in there.  Anybody's else's doing anything?

Don't know what part of N.C. you are, but here in central Ga. the tulip Popular are fixing to pop open.
Only thing that has me worried, is the nectar going to be too watery. It was one year when we had too much rain. I am going to start supering up in the next day or so. :)doak

Mine are still taking lots of sugar syrup so I don't think we have any decent nectar flow right now.  I would expect that to change in about one or two more weeks when the Tulip Poplars open up (I can see lots of nice green buds from my window).

My Tulip Poplars look like they are just shedding the covering around the flower.  Don't know if the bees are into them yet.  This is my first go.  I have seen them working the blueberries though and packing in a fair amount of pollen from somewhere.
My one hive has not been taking up the sugar water in the feeder for a couple weeks, pretty much from when I got them.
Anyway I still have to wait for them to draw out more frames before they will be storing much honey.

Hello from virginia still getting rain here will be glad when the sun comes back out. As i can see the blackberries here are ready to bloom soon but if this weather keeps up i do not think anyone will make much of anything.
