Talk about an easy hive capture!!!!I was called to go get a honey bee hive in a small box that was used to hold a small television on a covered back porch of a trailer. The box is about eighteen inches square. The television was removed and a hive moved in to the box about two years ago according to the owner of the trailer. The box was bolted to the rafter with only four bolts, so I took the bolts out and lowered the whole hive and placed it in my truck. I brought it home and will transfer it to a normal hive this weekend. I haven't opened it yet but the hive is very heavy and is full of bees. These bees are very gentle and I hope to raise some queens from them if possible. They look like small Italians. I wish all my captures would be this easy. I will update the transfer when I am able to do it this weekend.

I took a few pictures at the trailer where they were and a few where I put them in my bee yard. I will take some more when I do the transfer this weekend. I have never uploaded any pictures to the the forum but will do my best when I can figure out how to upload them. Looking forward to opening the box to see how many bees are actually in the box and how much honey also. I will update you with my next post. BEEMAN
