I was wondering if any members can direct me to a website that has beekeeping calendars.  I really am looking for Indiana honey flows etc specifically.  I am sure that I can find them on my own, but thought maybe someone would save me a few minutes.

It would be kinda nice to have a calendar that had a guide of some sort.  General dates that certain mainentance etc needs to be done, to prepare for winter or whatever.  Maybe they don't exist, but I thought it would be nice.

I would have made one, but since I don't know my hiney from a hole in the ground yet, I better not LOL  :-D

THANKS!

Honey flows are something that you won't find much specific info on because they tend to be variable from year to year. We had a warm March this year and things were blooming about a week to 10 days earlier than 'normal', but then we had a cool, rainy April which set things back. Also, the way weather often tends to be spotty here in Indiana, 30-to-40 miles may make a world of difference. I've beekeeper friends brag about what a great year they were having while I was feeding my bees all summer because of drought.

If you subscribe to Bee Culture, you'll get a bee calendar each year. There are also a number of bee books that lay out what needs to be done for each season. One of my favorites is Richard Bonney's Hive Managment: A Seasonal Guide

I'm sure I could find one online too, but I've got too many bee links under 'Favorites' and it would take awhile... :)

Thanks, to both of you.  I forgot about a subscription to Bee Culture.  I have a deep stack of old BC.  My wife's aunt gave them to us.  They are from the 80's and I have read most of them.  I forgot to sign up for a new subscription, but the calendar would be kind of valuable to me, so I will get the done ASAP.  Thanks!
