Splits absconded

I did 5 splits this summer. 3 from KTBH into TBH nucs, and 2 from KTBH into langs.

1 of the KTBH nucs absconded and 1 of the KTBH absconded.

Why? Should I put on queen excluders and use LGO in every lang split?

So you gave them a new queen?  Did they leave right away?  Was it hotter than the hinges of Hades? I'm just curious for I certainly wouldn't know why.
