I have been pulling super after work for a couple of nights now.  I  use escapes boards and fume boards.  The night before last Before heading home I put a escape on a colony with 4 supers planning on starting there the next night.  So yesterday I get suited up and go straight to this big hive.  I cracked the cover and it was full of angry bees.  I thought maybe the escape got clogged so I removed it and put a fume board on top.  After about 5 minutes I started pulling supers.  There still seemed to be alot of bees in this stack so I did alot of brushing.  When i got home I started with this stack of 4 brushing remaining bees off and taking them inside one by one.  When i got to the bottom one just as I swept a bunch of bees off onto the driveway I froze.  I thought I saw a queen.  Luckily I was on pavement because I looked down and there she was.  I picked her up jumped back in the truck  and drove back to the apiary.  I place her on the front porch and watch for reactions.  A couple of bees took notice and just as I thought it was going to be OK several bees grabbed her and dragged her in the hive.
