when to combine?

When should I start combining my weak hives with my strong hives?  We might have another month or so of feeding left.  Should they be combined right before I wrap them or earlier?  Which is best?

Unless you are trying to accomplish something with the week hive like drawing out comb do it now.  If you wait the strong will just rob them out and many will die.
