Where do wax moths lay their eggs ? Dow do wax moths get in the bee hives ? What is the best treatment for inside the hives ? What is the best preventive treatment ? I thank all of you very much for answering all my questions.
Acts2:37: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39: For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40: And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation

Keep your hives full of bees (crowd down if you need to) and you shouldn't have to worry about the moths. They're always out there looking for an opportunity, don't give it to them!

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

>Where do wax moths lay their eggs ?

They lay there eggs in the wax ---- comb. They are not as attracted to comb that has not had brood in it. They are real fond of old brood comb with cocoons etc.

Dow do wax moths get in the bee hives ?

Adult wax moths enter the hive and lay eggs.

>What is the best preventive treatment ?

Wax moths in an active hive are usually the sign of another problem weakness, disease etc. They attack weak hive so keep hives strong

Wax moths will get in stored drawn comb. Folks try different ways to protect this comb. Storage in airtight area after freezing comb. Storing comb where sunlight can get to it--- wax moths dont like the sunlight. Using approve moth crystals for storage (some are not approved for beekeeping). And last, what I use is BT (xentari). Do a search for post on xentari.
