Queens Slowing Down?

We live in the piedmont of NC. It has been retatively nice and warm weather. We have had about 3 frost. I went in 14 hives yesterday and there is very little (some none) laying going on.
Think they have shut down or do you think there might be another issue? There is some aster still in bloom but it is almost over. Comments appreciated

Very normal.

They may slow and even stop for a lack of flow. But the shortening of the days, the drop in night temps, and internal programming, all can cause that also.

I want a stoppage in brood. Bees going into the first half of winter actually use little stores. It is not until the start-up again in February (around here) that they really start eating through the stores.

You got bees doing what they should.  ;)
