Hello All
newbie here, I'm getting my first two packages this weekend
Of coures after being beautful all week it's suppose to get cooler this weekend
I get the bee's Saturday and figured on hiving them Sunday but they're calling for a high of 55, low around 40. Is that to cool?? Would it be an option to hive em and put em in my garage with the hive entrance shut for a couple days till it warms back up? I have a hivetop feeder.  Heck, I don't know, maybe those temps are ok.
Maybe it'll keep em inside for a few days while they get settled it.
I'm in NC and I think the average around here for today is 73/47
Thought's??

I hived 10 packages saturday.  It has snowed lightly twice since then.  I gave them drawn comb, and a gallon of syrup.  They were bringing in pollen between storms.  I think they'll make it

I know very little about beekeeping, but I'd say if they can make it in russia, north carolina in april will be a snap.  However, the closed garage will stunt them, make them angry, and waste your $35.00 for package bees.

Hive em, give em some syrup, and let them do their stuff.  Shouldn't be a problem.  They know what to do in inclement weather.
