Thanks Brooklyn. That was needed to wash away the winter time blues. ;)

Awesome!  I like the ones of the hives in the sunflower fields.  I've always wanted to have hives on a sunflower field.  I don't know how much honey they produce from them but if nothing else, they'd get a ton of pollen I'm sure.

I loved Éric Tourneret's articles in ABJ, plus the photographs of honeybees he has on his  website are the best I've ever seen.  Thanks for sharing the site

Very Cool takes a while to go through all the pics. sure is neat to see the different methods of keeping bees around the world.

I stumbled upon Tourneret's website while surfing the net.  I checked Beemaster out and sure enough, a user by the name of Brooklyn had posted a link to it! :)

Incredible photography!  At the risk of being guilty of "bumping" a thread I'm gonna do it anyhow for newbees or anyone else that missed it.  If nothing else, check out the queen page and the picture of the drone and queen mating in mid-air... http://www.thehoneygatherers.com/html/photolibrary2.html

Enjoy...again. :)

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

Great pics!  Amazing, the different ways people hive their bees.

[The sunflower one with all those bees flying was my favorite, too.]
