Have been cutting fire wood away from home.
We are in the 50's and 60's here now and today I was 3 or 4 miles from Home, out in the woods.
A honey  Bee came to check me out.
My ? is, isn't that a little far my Bees to be going this time of year.
I have lost several swarms in the last 10 years, May be I can set up a swarm trap/hive body come April
and get some of my bees back or just add some Ferrel colonies to my yard.
That O.K. with you all? :)doak

Maybe he rode out with you.

Put out a bowl of honey and beeline her to the tree

Ran my Google Map out and it is 2 and 1/2 miles as the crow flies from my place.
But I don't think they are foraging out that far yet.
After this rain passes on I will take me some bait next time I go for another load of wood.
Trying to get all the wood I can before the rattlers start crawling.
We have some Eastern Diamond Backs in here 6 to 9 feet long. Timber Rattlers average 4 to 6 feet.
Not just a few either.
Several years ago they were catching them up in the Atlanta and bringing them in my area.
They did not say this was where they were taking them but it was obvious, we had an influx of the critters that year. One in my front yard, 8 feet from the front door.
Back to topic, I'll get me a swarm. :)doak
