has anyone used the "over the door" coat rack type pieces as frame holders?

MacfromNS

Is this the frame holder you talking about?                                     http://www.betterbee.com/products.asp?dept=1555
First time I ever seen one.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling.
And even more beautiful is knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

This is the type I use, it can hold about four frames comfortably.

They definitely come in quite handy.

Not that one in particular, but something like that. The design is similar and seems pretty simple. I can't imagine it not working as a frame holder. i think ikea has some.
Of course when i look i cant find a good example.  picture this but as a single instead of a double.

its probably best just to but/make one that is similiar to what JP and others have posted....if you use those types of clothes racks that arent connected solidly, then I suspect you may eventually have a mishap with the frames slipping off and falling therefore causng a ruckus amongst the bees and possibly damaging the frame!

I use a home made version of the one JP linked to.  I wouldn't do without it.  Going with the version that is not connected will invariably let you down.  You're going to lose one of them or they are going to split such that you'll drop the frames.  They are less expensive but It'll end up costing you in the long haul.
Ninja, is not in the dictionary.  Well played Ninja's, well played...

any pictures of your homemade holder?

Michael Bush

I bought one.  Even put it on my toolbox so I would have it handy.  After three years of never getting around to using it, I sold it to a friend... It's just one more thing to haul around and I have enough things to haul around...
