YUMM.  Pulled out five capped frames today.  VERY light honey, very sweet.  I'm chunk honey-ing them as graduation gifts to my seniors this coming weekend!  (That, and a little beeswax lip balm!)

This is my third year, and it looks like I will finally have a "bumper crop" this year!!  My supers are 8 frame (spaced).  It looks like I will have at least two more full supers before this flow is over, and possibly up to four.

Wow,always nice to reap rewards huh X:X - How many hives do you have, wats the set-up like for the one u pulled frames from (2deeps+2supers??),Is it that u've got 8med super frames spaced in a 10framer??Do they ever end up building burr combs or always real fat combs on each frame??
I've chosen understanding over knowledge-since knowledge is all about knowing where to find facts and understanding is knowing how to manipulate knowledge...I've also chosen knowledge over beliefs!! We all need to..

It is all that locus and poplar.  Great stuff.

I have six hives, four that overwintered and two from swarms this year.  Had two other swarms this year already,  but they left for greener pastures.

I either have a deep and a medium, or two deeps for each of my "brood nests".  I use mediums for supers, and they are 8 frames spaced in a ten frame box.  There's a little burr, but 90% they just build super fat comb.  On the four strong hives I have two with one and two with two supers right now (had stated too many earlier, sorry!!!).  I expect I'll get at least 8 frames off the strongest hive, and several off of each of the others, but thought I'd wait till a little later in the flow!!  I've got my taste for now!!

That's great! Lucky graduates :)
