If you cant tell I was a bit exited.  Thought Id never catch one.  I was installing a nuc in a box and when next thing I new I was working in a cloud of bees.  By the time I buttoned up the new hive I noticed all the commotion was over.  When I looked up I realized what I had witnessed was a swarm in progress and it landed about 40-50 feet away on the branch of a bush nice and close to the ground.  Luckily I had all the boxes and stuff I needed with me.  Could not have been better timing.

Two Bees

Why can't I get a swarm that lands on a branch that is that close to the ground!  :-D  Oh, wait a minute!  I did have one last year that was virtually identical to the height of your swarm!

But the two swarms that I caught this year required some acrobatics!

Camera is a Sony 60 power zoom digital.  Not sure on the model cause Im up north and cam is not with me.  Paid $300 for it and bought a tripod for $40 and have been very happy with it other than the battery is already going to crap.

Thanks for comment on apiary.  I built the fence in a big hurry last year.  There are three more hive in the back right corner that you cant see.  I will post a pic when I get home.

I doubt Ill get this luck again with timing and all.  Wish I would have filmed the cloud of bees I was working in too.  Oh well.
