Caught a swarm

Had to cut the branch to get it a little lower and used a couple of dark brood combs to help attract them.
You can't hoot with the owls and soar with eagles!!

Nice job. If you can put an excluder of the entrance you will reduce the chance of them absconding.

Alright Ted!
Do a lot of the southern bees like to abscond? i've had only one or two beat feet after being hived.
Cold is setting in for a few days here. I hope to see some swarms soon. Our black locust and wild cherry are starting to bloom and its going to be cold and very windy. Hope the blooms hang on through it.

I don't think they will abscond , because i newspapered them together with a queenless hive along with a frame of brood. :)
