I have one hive that is agressive and they were that way for a day or two after I split them.  My Carnie hives could care less after a split or full inspection.  They should settle down.

Queenless hives are often unfriendly.  They may be queenless.

Like Mr Bush said.  When you did your split, did you get a new queen for the queenless hive, or are you letting them make a queen.  If you have them making their own queen, make sure you put some frames in the hive without a queen that have eggs in them.  Then in a couple of weeks, they should settle down a bit after their new queen emerges.

I just made 5  splts, no one seemed to care except that i was in the hives a long time pulling out frames with qc's, there were lots of them , and still some left, these are carni stock, an like above couldn't care less. just bummed when I flipped the last box cause they had to wait for me. LOL
