Swarm trap color

Does it make any difference at all what color a swarm trap is painted?  Noticed in a video that the guy's swarm trap was painted a dark color. Of course it might just be what he had leftover in a can somewhere...

I am not sure anybody has done a research on the effectiveness of swarm traps based on color. My inclination is to say that color doesn't matter.

 i think the color choice is only to hide it from humans or at least make them less conspicuous.  mine are plain cedar like my hives.

Just about any color will do. Its really your preference.

Bees don't care about the outside, just what's in the inside of the trap.  But I like mine white to match the rest of my crap.

Any color will do as long as it's white.

I painted several of mine camouflage colors and patterns to hide them from my nosy neighbors. But, now the bees can't find them! And when I go to check them I can't find them either!  :-D

So anything goes including signage "Affordable down payment! Close to nectar flows! High ceilings! Low floors! And room for the children! :-D

Just as long as it is children by the thousands, or hundreds of thousands.

Color doesn't matter. I paint mine brown to make them less obtrusive.

Color does matter. FRESH paint deters habitation. The smells need to dissipate.

Otherwise a bright color for you to spot if on your own farm, or camo to avoid others mucking with it.

Shade from sun is far more important than color.
