I caught a swarm in the rain at mcdonalds. It was small but free

Congratulations. I got a nice one at a Burger King once. They gave me coupons for free food.

never take the top off a hive on a day that you wouldn't want the roof taken off your house

I caught a swarm once that I had previously passed up because they were on a limb high in a pecan tree. After they hung there for five days in the pouring rain I felt sorry for them and got creative and hived them.

Be careful that you don't mix any honey surplus from that hive with the others.  They only produce "honey sauce"!!
