G'day All,

I'm a newbie from Gippsland in Victoria, Australia.  Have only been keeping bees a short while but am very keen.  I have 1.5 hives (the .5 is a swarm I collected that I'm not sure is doing OK yet) and would like a few more soon.  I live on almost 2 acres so I can fit a couple more on before I run out of space!!!

G'Day Malachii! Welcome.

Where abouts in Gippsland do you hark from? There are a few of us from Victoria on the forum with only the one that I know of besides yourself from gippsland. Geoff, but he can introduce himself...

It's good to update your profile with where (even approx.) you are as it helps people to give you the appropriate advice.

Malachii, welcome to our forum.  We have a fair number of members from your country on our forum, it is wonderful how the cyberspace brings us all together, stick around, we love new members.  The bees will hold you beneath their spell, they do have a way about them, smiling.  Enjoy your bees, and enjoy your times with us here on our forum, again, welcome.  Have that most beautiful day, of love and most wonderful health.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service

Welcome to the forum, Malachii!  We're all moving into winter up here so count on the stories from your end of the world to tide us over!  1.5 hives on 2 acres, huh?  I'm betting that changes soon!  Hives are like potato chips...you can't stop at just one or two! :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone.  I'm going to have to be careful with the number of hives because everyone around here that hears I have bees keeps asking me to put a couple of hives on their place.

If it's bees they want, I have some excess hives at the moment that I need to store!  :-D
