It has been researches over 50 years ago that pollen has essential meaning to honey bee wintering.

The more bee has protein in its body the the better it resists winter die out and nosema.

Those bees which feed larvae in autumn, do not survive up to winter. They die during autumn.

To make combs is stressfull  to bees. To force bees to draw combs during winter feedin is not good at all.
