hello all, been a while since I post but things are getting straight I hope, I have done moved to Louisiana and made my first splits of the year last weekend, was going to graft and make splits this weekend but I got to work, so maybe next weekend, I still have to travel back to Ga. to get all of my hives and equipment but will do that soon I hope, I need it, after my health problems and then other stuff I didn't open one of my hives in a year and a half, lost a few because the summer of 09 I took honey from them and health went bad and I couldnt feed them, no fall flow and I lost a few hives, but planning on to get back to about 60 this year, not going to try real hard this year, still trying to get set up here, next year I will give it hell and see what happens lol, nice to be back!!!

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Hope you didn't loose too many of the bees you had to leave.  Did you leave honey supers on them in 09?  Just wondering how they did last summer.  Hopefully you had a lot of swarms move into the old hives.   You should have a better honey flow down there in LA.
