This question shouldn't be any surprise for anyone that's read my other post.... :-D

Does anyone out there have any experience using red ceder and noticing it's effects on varroa?

Thank you!

It makes varroa mites smell like red cedar.    Seriously though, if it had any effect on varroa don't you think all beehives would be made of cedar?

I use all red cedar hive body's, tops, bottoms and supers. It has no effect on varroa or shb.
You can't hoot with the owls and soar with eagles!!

:lau:  And good they will smell, too!  I almost wanted to crawl into that hive myself!

Yes, I would think that.  I guess I was hoping it was more of a cost issue.

I hate bad news, even when it's not a surprise.  I'm going to go get another cup of coffee......
