I am receiving two nucs. The weather forecast is for a fair amount of rain so I might wait a day or so before transferring the five frames from the nuc to their new hive body. I plan to set the nuc on the top of the awaiting deep hive body and to open the entrance to the nuc. The next day with hopefully better weather I plan to move the frames from the nuc to their new hive body. when is the best time to do this, morning, midday or dusk? Other suggestions ...

Everything sounds good to me. That is what I would do.

Just in case they get used to the new location on top of the full size hive, I would move then in the morning or early afternoon so they have time to readjust and find the new entrance. Don't do it late day.
