Getting my first hive tomorrow and should be picking up three frame nuc next weekend. I just can't decide where to locate the hive. I have a perfect spot that gets morning sun but is shaded the rest of the day. I have another spot that gets morning sun and partial sun till about 3, then shade, or I have a spot that gets full sun from about 9 to 4. The 2nd and 3rd spots aren't as desirable because of neighbors, pets etc. but still workable. Which would be best for the bees?
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is probably not for you.

All three sound good. Morning sun is good. Shade is good for the beekeeper! Bee suites are hot in the summer sun.

Good Luck,

If neighbors are an issue, I'd go with the spot that gets good morning sun.
