weird looking cells

ya its probably less than 15 cells on two frames, i checked again and there are a lot of uncapped larva.  brood pattern look good to. yes It was weird because it was only in one hive.  really wasnt sure what it was at first but had a good guess as it didnt look like a queen cell.

Glad it all worked out ,are you going to try to make a small split???
I bet 1 drawn frame with brood or even cut half frame and rubber banded in,
1 drawn with nectar /pollen and a frame with
foundation the queen and you'll be on your way
IMHO it shouldn't be hard on your hives if you take a little from all

Look up Dcoates 5 frame box
If you have a Home Depot or similar
you could have all pieces cut for you with a half
sheet of Plywood $10 and you'll have it.
BTW how did you come about the extra Queen ??

i went to make a split today and queen was dead.  she was alive yesterday. owell
