Blogs, rants, pink pages, what's the difference? :-D

Seems to me that the first one says "this is what I'm doing" and the other two say "this is the only way to do it"...

Blogs are usually started and targeted to one's friends and family, to them he or she is an expert. If you read a blog started as a diary of a new beeks experiences and by year two you believe all he/she has written as "this is the only way to do it" then it's you that's screwed up not the blogger. You must look at each reference and judge it's value.

I always thought there were more posters in forum claiming to be the know all to end alls, then there were on blogs.

I do....and did. But it seems that some don't like (or respect) another person's opinion on the matter.  :-D

I have people judge my websites and comments all the time. Last week, and I'm only guessing since I don't go on the lousy b-o-b-e website, but there must of been some chatter over my warre hive page on my site. Seems I get bunches of emails all grouped on a day or two, then a month with nothing. After a few emails and telling them to....ah...take a flying leap, I was also contact by some Dr. Heaf or Leaf or some other Warre loving guy. I told him the same thing. But I don't expect nobody to judge, be critical, offer advice, or comment on what I say or post. Posting on a forum what you think of my website is one thing. Go for it. Sending personal attack emails to my home is another.

But it seems if you have a differring opinion on some people's blog, you get backlash as if it tabboo to say anything. Or you have people make comments like "It's you that is screwed up, not the blogger". Yes, there are more people on forums. So you are right. And many people correct, challenge, and debate what people post. That is a good thing, right?

For the record, nobody pointed out any other persons website. I made a general observation and posted an opinion on blogs. But right away, some get offended, and go into attack mode for some reason. Maybe you should consider them screwed up as well.  ;) Or is that where we are now. That nobody can say anything as being PC has run a muck once again.
