Bee Bowing & Fanning

Watching the hive I noticed a bee, facing the reduced entrance, bowing and fanning. That means the Queen is close and the bee is calling for the others?

Just one bee?   Sending out pheromone most likely.

I noticed a large group of bees fanning the entrance this evening for the first time.
It is our first hot weekend so it makes sense. Neat to see, though.
