Hi:
Where can I find a detailed discreption on how to regress large cell bees to small cell bee Can the process be started now if not when is  is the best time to start.

The easy way is just keep feeding in 4.9mm foundation (if you're into foundation) and remove the old, or start feeding in empty frames between two drawn ones.  The bees will regress themselves if you let them.  :)

So, let me mirror this back...

In a 10 frame broodbox, 4 frames of small cell should be in the center of the hive, with 5 or 6  frames of 5.1 and possilbly 1 frame of drone cell being in the broodbox?
Is that how you all read this?

That will work.  Dee Lusby leaves a gap at the bottom of the foundation on each frame for drones.  When I use 4.9mm foundation, I cut it in half lengthways because I run mediums and leave a gap at the bottom for drones or whatever.  But mostly I just use foundationless.  It's good to get the core of the brood nest 4.9mm or smaller.
