My hive setup consists of 2 brood boxes and medium honey supers. Yesterday I noticed during hive checks that even though nectar was going into the honey supers several outer frames of the brood boxes were filled and capped (4 or more). If I take a couple of these frames from each hive where should I put the new frames? Where the filled frames came from or towards the center for quicker egg room?
Thanks

put them just outside the brood nest.  You dont want to split the nest

You should extract the capped honey. Medium box has 15 kg capped honey.
Bees cather more when they get empty combs.

4 boxes = 60 kg.

If you do not extract, bees swarm. If you take capped honey to storeroom, it crystallisez and you cant do nothing with honey.

Keep hurry to give new room to nectar! Foundations, new boxes, extracting..

what is that?

You shoud use langstroth too as super. Then you lift the capped and uncapped honey frame to there and extract when it is time. 4 capped langstroth frame = 10 kh honey.

Allways give new empty combs between honey and brood.
Give more space to queen lifting honey frames up and foundations to be drawn.

You hive sounds very  good.  70 kg honey to be extracted!

Maybe I miss understood but I thought your wanted to open up the brood nest.  If this is what you are attempting as I said place the new frames just outside the brood nest. Not in the middle.    You can extract the full deep frames if you like.  They will hold 6 - 7 lbs but I like to save them to feed back.  I pop them in the freezer for a day or two and then store them for a rainy day
