This is from a organic bee list I'm on but it is recently only for volunteer FREE bee removals. These folks might be wanting to pay to support the bees & keepers & have it removed. Louisiana keepers give em a buzz :).

We need to find some people who can help us beekeeper wannabees!

We live in Barataria Louisiana and there is a wild colony of bees that we need to move/rescue. We would like to start at least one new hive and maybe if we could figure out how to introduce another queen, start two new hives. The colony is residing in the wall of an old abandoned frame house.

We have never kept bees before but we have been looking at videos and would like to start. We are in keeping with the backwards beekeeping philosophy.

We found some bee associations around but they seem to be EXTERMINATORS rather than bee lovers.

HELP! do you know anyone in SE Louisiana or New Orleans who is committed to chemical-free low maintenance beekeeping who can help us.

My (Penny) cell is 917-482-7185 and Mike Roberts cell is 504-289-6256.

Thanks very much
Penny
