in one of my hives i've noticed a few pink colored cells. not any large areas, just a few random cells. any cause for concern??

Is it just a pink colored pollen? Brad
If the only dog you can here in the hunt is yours, your probaly missing the best part of the chase.

Does someone nearby have a hummingbird feeder with colored syrup in it?

AllenF

I would second the hummingbird feeder.

i have an extensive flower garden so i cannot rule out pink pollen. BUT i have 2 & a neighbor has 3 hummingbird feeders so i suspect you are right about the feeders. so, there are no bee diseases that manifest themselves with pink honey. good to know.

Yep, it's the humming bird feeders, if they are filled with red syrup.  I saw this in my hives last summer and noticed it only after the humming bird feeder went out.  Now I only use clear sugar syrup in the hb feeders.
