Bee-Go

This was the first year I tried using the bee-go. Does the smel stick with the supers after you take them inside? I only used one squirt per board per hive, and it was a very small squirt.

No, the smell doesn't stay in the super, or on the frames, nor does it in any way contaminate the honey. That is, if you use the fume boards and don't squirt it directly on the frame top bars as I saw one lame brain do. You really need more than one squirt to make the boards work effectively though. We run a stream back and forth across the board several times. Not much fun standing around watching the grass grow while waiting for the fumes to work. Also, if you haven't done so, paint the fume boards black; they work much better.  :-D

Use it as supposed and you will certainly minimize the hardships your nostrils will go through but the stuff is sho enough stanky and an extreme eye irritant. Be careful with it!

Alan Bukley had my truck stinkin' of that stuff for two weeks!

it does stink!  ditto the bee quick.  works as well, i think, and does not stink!!

Most people I run across find the aroma of bee quick quite nice to their senses. Definitely can't say that about bee go or honey robber.
