I'm going to post this around... I've never Had a wall wreck hives before.  I guess I maybe should have put this in the pest section... Here is what can happen when communication is lost or even momentarily interrupted. The pictures should tell the story. I'm not sure if I have a queen or not and the wax moths were lined up last night while I killed them. The first picture, of course is before. I didn't take the time to take pics of total damage since I was alone and just wanted to get the frames and comb into a new box and pray for the best. When I get another chance I'll go in and check them in about a week, since it is pretty warm yet.

Oh yeah, the guy tearing it down said he didn't know what the boxes were until he pushed down the wall on top of them and his cab was covered in bees.  He moved the boxes to the tree line and dumped them there.  He was very apologetic and upset with himself.
Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)

I am getting a "page not found" error when I try and look at your pictures.   :(

"The guy" is he the land owner where you keep your hives or some utility worker? Couldn't get the pics to load as well.

I'm not sure my linking to them (got the photobucket address from a different forum) will work or not.  Here's a couple of the pictures.  Looks like the salvaged parts have been moved from their original location. ???  Wiped out one hive, for sure.

I got to thinking about it and I wonder if the OP had already moved the hives to get them out of the way and the bh operator still ran over them?
....<DUH!!!> I should've read the rest of the message....bh operator moved the boxes.

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."..."The press is our chief ideological weapon." - Nikita Khrushchev

Oh wow, I hope they can recover.

Ouch!  Good luck on the recovery!  Were you able to find a queen at all?

qa33010

    HMMM... I'm having mixed success with the link posts on different sites.  I have not seen a queen, but I figure I'll give them a week to clean up and then I'll see what I can find.  Thanks all.  He did say that the bees were ALL over the outside of his cab when it happened and they mellowed out about ten minutes later.  I'll try something different;

Well, at least the guy was apologetic about it.  Get some of those guys in a backhoe and they just go nuts.

So it looks like one hive got totally smashed and the other came through ok?  Hopefully you have queen left.

Larry Bees

Wow! I would of thought that the guy would have checked around the house before tearing it down. What if a homeless guy was in there. Larry

   Nope those are different boxes.  Thanks folks.  The weather should be ok to check them later today or tomorrow afternoon.
