Some have asked when I was going to post the next beekeeper rambling. I have not posted one on the website for awhile. So I just finished adding the rambling for 2012. It can be read here:

Hope you enjoy!

I also enjoyed reading this rant. I have found that once someone learns of a reliable source of local honey - a local beekeeper - they don't really consider buying honey at the grocery store, and are happy to pay a few extra bucks to get the "good stuff."

Mike i read the ramblings once again you go to places many couldnt touch due to your experience in beekeeping i really like what you have to say.  In fact i totally agree with you on much of it, especially the loss of insects, i too remember those days of all the bugs, i can remember as a young boy in the early 80s going out and collecting bees in a jar of all different species i dont see today any longer. Its funny i just read your rambling and not too long ago i been saying the same things ??? where are the butterflies, where are the bats, where are all the lightining bugs, where are all the bees. A friend of mine last week said i could put bees at his place he hasnt seen a bee in years.  Something is definately wrong with our ecosystem for sure due to all the losses including all the honey bees. Nature is telling us we are screwing up big time in our environment but again the big business and government doesnt seem to care it all comes down to how  much money is being made, just darn right wrong and sad in my book.  We need to correct the issues asap.  Im a firm believer that we use way to many chemicals and its catching up with us sooner than later.   I feel the same way we need to stop the pesticides now but then the government says we wont produce the food crop what do we do?? lol what a bunch of losers i have about as much faith in our government as far as i can spit.  Chris
