yesterday I drove by my big hive on the tractor I was a bit surprized to see a humongous number of bees flying around the entrance I am going to inspect them in the next couple of days  but I haven't been in it in about two or three weeks, there is always a lot of activity but this was much more  should this tell me something?

Either they are hauling in nectar like not tomorrow, or you stumbled across at exactly when the young bees were orienting, or they are bing robbed.
