How an electromelt works

I'm looking at buying an used electromelt or a mini melter.... something of that nature, but I have never quite understood how they work. Is there risk of the honey buring? How does the honey and wax seperate without mixing with each other? Is there any tips on running them? Any answers would help so I can decide if I should purchase it. Thanks

the melted wax floats on top of the honey-the wax is taken off the top and honey from below-yes honey
will darken (melter honey some darker than others)-you need to feed these melters a generous amount of product
for them to work efficiently -the electromelt needs a power uncaper to feed it-how much honey are you processing-RDY-B

I am getting up to 100 hives this year but I only have an electric knife

how many honey suppers are you going to run with these hundred hives-that alone
is a big expense-a hundred hives is not quite enough wax production for a melter-
if you are looking for a easier way to process the capping -perhaps a capping spinner-
and you can accumulate your capping for a sizeable wax run--always interested in hearing from
pepole making a big jump in there beekeeping eforts- 8-)RDY-B
