I am considering going to narrow frames. I understand how to make them, the benefits and all that. The question I have is, what is the best way to introduce them to the hive? Can I just put a narrow frame between my standard frames in the brood nest? Will they build comb at the right depth when the existing frames on either side are wider? I already use foundationless frames.

Thanks,
Paul

I find it is easier to draw out a complete box of 11 and extract them.  Then I put them on the bottom board and let the bees move down into it.  That is how the bees did the best job for me anyway.

Yes.

In the brood area, yes.
