I'm from central Canada, work for the goverrnment and own 180 acre Bison ranch.  Thought that I would try my luck at BeeKeeping as a side hobby and if all goes well, I plan to off the Bison and get into large amounts of honey production...  But still lots and lots to learn/experience.

Wow!  A Bison ranch!  Why not do both?  The bees won't compete with the Bison.

Well the Bison would provide good protection for numerous hives as they attack predators, so I won't get rid of all of them, but do plan on thinning my herd out.  No money in Bison currently, but heres to hoping the market will start booming again after the whole Mad Cow incedents.  I know what your thinking, mad cow doesnt affect Bison, but it does affect their prices some how along with other livestock not  related to cows.  Besdides Bison are already Mad, stumbling around drooling all day, sounds like me on a Friday night heh.
